Day 2 of the USGP of Cyclocross - The Stanley Cup

Who would have thought that it could get any colder than the first day of the USGP.  Well, with no fog any heat that was around had left.

We were again sponsored by Cyclepath for both days of the USGP of Cyclocross.  We would like to thank them for their support.  If you enjoyed the photos, please let them know.

If you don't find any photos on our site or want to support the official photographer of the USGP check out Ben Ross Photography work.  He was out there both days for all the races working to get high quality images of each racer.  At the very least, drop him a note saying thanks for his hard work.

Cross Crusade @PIR and SSCXWC

Torrential rains, mud and cyclocross... what more could you ask for?  How about the Singlespeed Cyclocross World Championships? Still not enough?  How about a costumes, a Drum Corp, a bagpiper, Shimmano running a neutral pit, beer and a great vendor area?  Been done you say?  How about a Thunderdome and a bus with strippers that people can use as a shortcut?

I know what you are thinking... With this group and their twisted since of humor the whole stripper thing could be an evil trick.  Did they hire all male strippers?  Sumo wrestlers to strip?  It is Portland, it could be good or it could be really bad.  It is like a horrible train wreck, you just have to see for yourself.

We would like to thank Cyclepath for sponsoring us once again.  Their generosy support allows us to provide you with medium resolution digitial images for free.  Use them for personal use and if you like the photos, send them a note saying thanks.

Cross Crusade: Alpenrose

Another year, another record setting attendance.  Over 1400 racers came out to Alpenrose to compete and have fun for the Cross Crusade season opener.  The vendor area was covered with new and old face; taking up about twice the usual area.

This year we were sponsored by Oregon Biike Shop.  Because of OBS we are able to provide everyone with free medium resolution images for everyone to use for personal use.  If you want to see a gallery of highlights, go to here.  If you want to see all 2000+ images, go here.

Tuesday Night PIR 08.18.09

A while back we recieved a call asking us if we were going to be taking photos are any of the PIR road races.  Every year we like to hit a few of the races but this year it just had not worked out.  Jerry said that he wanted to make sure that we would be at PIR one of the times he was racing.  You see, last year Jerry was hit by a car and the doctor had told him that the destruction to his leg was so much that he would not be racing again.  Like most avid racers, those words were enough to drive Jerry to prove the doctor wrong.  A year later, Jerry is racing and he wanted proof to send to his doctor not really to say "you were wrong" but to say "thank you for the great work".

You can find all of our photos from the night here or click on the jump for a slideshow of highlights.

Model: Fred

I was introduced to Fred via Model Mayhem.  We tried a couple different times to meet up for a couple of different shoots but only one ever happened.  The goal of this shoot was lifestyle.

Lifestyle photography is photography re-creating "real" life situations in a controlled setting.

Fred working hard at breaking into the model and acting industry.  Don't be surprise to see him in some of the shows that have been shot locally or even in print adds.  To see a slideshow of photos with Fred click on the jump.

Mount Tabor: July 15th 2009

We did not make it to Velo on the Volcano as much as we wanted this year.  The course and scenery provides wonderful conditions to play with imagery.  I guess there is always next year.  All of our photos from the evenings race have been posted here.  Click on the jump to see a slideshow of highlights.

Model: X

Lately, we have met with a lot more people that are getting cautious about having their photo on the Internet. From people being concerned of about how they are represented, people that would prefer not to have their name and face linked, and others that fear facial recognition software finding them. I am not sure what the last group is hiding from but in a day and age when people are not getting into college or getting a job because of things they have on facebook and MySpace we understand their concerns.

I have worked with databases in the financial, auto, entertainment and other industries. Most people don’t realize that there are large amounts of data being collected for harmless and not so harmless reason. What I am trying to say is to be careful who you give information too and if you ever find your photo on our website and don’t want it up, please let us know and we will take it down.

For more photos of X, click on the jump.
