Portland Mountain Bike Short Track Series 07.12.10

Somedays you just aren't meant to race.

Another great day of short track racing.  I wsa a bit tired from shooting the Cream Puff the day before so the photos don't vary as much as they usually do.  I think you will be happy with the results though; some racing portraits.

Portland Mountain Bike Short Track Series 07.05.10

Every year at the short track series races we try to shoot in a different way.  This week we decided to shoot with a Diana lens set.  The Diana lens is a plastic lens from a plastic camera popular in the 60's and 70's.  The lens produces a different look that is soft and has a glow to it.  The look isn't for everyone, but it is something different so you aren't seeing the same photos week in and week out.  Let us know what you think.

Another great day of racing at PIR. A few nasty spills on the road and in the dirt, but that is racing.

Portland Mountain Bike Short Track Series 06.21.10

What do you get when you have the first race of a mountain bike short track series, the longest day of the year, lots of enthused cyclist and a nice dry day in a wet year?  You get a lot of crazy faces.  Check it out for yourselves.

Day 2 of the USGP of Cyclocross - The Stanley Cup

Who would have thought that it could get any colder than the first day of the USGP.  Well, with no fog any heat that was around had left.

We were again sponsored by Cyclepath for both days of the USGP of Cyclocross.  We would like to thank them for their support.  If you enjoyed the photos, please let them know.

If you don't find any photos on our site or want to support the official photographer of the USGP check out Ben Ross Photography work.  He was out there both days for all the races working to get high quality images of each racer.  At the very least, drop him a note saying thanks for his hard work.

Cross Crusade @PIR and SSCXWC

Torrential rains, mud and cyclocross... what more could you ask for?  How about the Singlespeed Cyclocross World Championships? Still not enough?  How about a costumes, a Drum Corp, a bagpiper, Shimmano running a neutral pit, beer and a great vendor area?  Been done you say?  How about a Thunderdome and a bus with strippers that people can use as a shortcut?

I know what you are thinking... With this group and their twisted since of humor the whole stripper thing could be an evil trick.  Did they hire all male strippers?  Sumo wrestlers to strip?  It is Portland, it could be good or it could be really bad.  It is like a horrible train wreck, you just have to see for yourself.

We would like to thank Cyclepath for sponsoring us once again.  Their generosy support allows us to provide you with medium resolution digitial images for free.  Use them for personal use and if you like the photos, send them a note saying thanks.
